Just spoke to Crawford! Message for DU'ers

I just spoke to Kay Lucas and Anarchy1999 in Crawford, and they wanted me to relay this info to you all!

First they wanted to "Thank" everyone from DU for all the support and love coming from DU..

They said there were many DU'ers in Crawford at present, and they said we are a positive force down there!

So many are down there doing wonderful work for all who are present!

It seems cell phone lines are being jammed and communications are getting tough..( thats the reason they asked me to write you as they can't get calls out)

Anarchy1999 said Du'ers are involved in every aspect of volunteer work, keeping Camp Casey going!! And helping out with the many chores around the Crawford Peace House...

Kay Lucas and Anarchy1999 wanted to "Thank You All " from the bottoms of their hearts go all that Du and the Wonderful People in this community has contributed!

7. i would like to add..

I live in two states, but i vote in fla but also live in nj...

i went to a Democratic meeting last night ..in the most conservative area in the state of nj...

the Democratic group was formed 4 months ago in a very republican area...

the group was formed 4 months ago with 9 members!
they only had one meeting until last night...

Last night over 200 people showed up!! as well as two Congressmen!

Never before could they have even thought of getting one congressman to show up!! Its that republican of an area!

well Not only were over 200 in attendance..they were over 200 and very vocal!!!!!!!! and very engaged!!

Cindy Sheehan has awakened the beast!!..people are coming out now and saying what they think...

I went hard at the two congressmen about getting involved, and said to them both..they will not stop this movement, so they better get involved or move out of the way..and they will be in our dust!

I was very calm and very sincere..i told the one congressman ..the train has left the station..get on board, or be left behind!
i gave them both the resolution for the DSM inquiry i had written down and said they better get on board with that as well...i was very forceful and said it in front of many so they had to respond to the resolution and inquiry....they promised they would get involved in the inquiry!
One of the Congressman said he wanted to sincerely get involved with Cindy and Camp Casey..he even said he would fly down to Crawford if they were there next weekend...well Camp Casey will be broken up wednesday..so i said they will be doing the bus tour..and he said he wanted to help them anyway he can...

well this morning the congressman had his right hand person call my home to get the Phone info for Cindy's people in Crawford..

So the good congressman followed through in his promise to me!!

The reason i am writing this is..we need to personally engage these Democratic congress people..they need to know we are behind them and we mean business..and they will not be deserted if they stand up to the plate..we need to get out in our communities..and talk and be heard..we all have so much knowledge..and truth is knowledge..

This computer is great..we have all learned so much, but now we need to take what we know to the people!

i stood with about 30 people last night and asked if any of them had heard of PNAC..there were blank stares from all, so with a reporter next to me ( whom i educated last week on PNAC) i spend 1 1/2 hours educating these fine folks..

People are awakening..now we need to take our knowledge to them...
Like someone once said( ha!)

It seems like the DSM stuff has kind of stalled. Is anything happening? I was pinning my hopes on that the other day too explaining why the whole peace thing is not about Cindy only. The righties love to bring up that dub already met her and wonder what is wrong with her. Apparently they can't imagine anyone changing their mind or not being pushed by Move On. If you mention pnac or dsm, they just sort of gloss over and reapeat the b*tch comments over and over.

12. My Family Gave Up Our Vacation To Support Cindy and Casey

Our oldest son Ben still a baby at 24 is leaving for Ramadi on September 4th. He is a Marine stationed at 29 Palms CA. We live in Italy or else we would be there. But we gathered together and decided for Cindy and Casey and Ben and all the rest of the troops, that our vacation was bullshit as long as our children are in harms way.

We did what we had to. Kay wrote Ray and I a beautiful note and I still burst into tears every time I read it. These people are THE SALT OF THE EARTH. We are trying to make it to DC in September but Ray's work is intense here and I'm not sure we can do it. Peace and Love to all of you foot soldiers. We send our best from under the Volcano Etna.

Italy stands behind all Americans trying to up earth "The Bush" as they call him. Berlu will not survive this politically. His allegiance with Bush will cost him public office. The Italians hate them. Bush and Berlu that is.

We've got some housecleaning to do regarding bipartisan corruption in the billion dollar election theft industry. In no democracy in the world would the people put up with far rightwing corporations tabulating their votes with SECRET, PROPRIETARY programming code. It's insane. And corruption in both parties is why this insane thing has happened here (--along with the war profiteering corporate news monopolies who won't talk about it).

22. no i didn't go to es&s and diebold...

when i go to stuff like this..i write the most important thing i think is in the forefront at that time...

there is usually limited time to talk to congress people or senators..so i write what i want them to know or do and i carry it in my pocket..this way when i have confronted them i can pull it out of my pocket and hand it to them..they then put it in their pocket , and when they get home they have it ..right in front of them..they talk to so many ..you become a bleep..so i want them to remember talking to me..and this way i don't mess up what bill number or what i am trying to convey,..i also do it with reporters..so they don't mess it up..
if one goes into so many subjects , it is forgotten by who you are speaking...so you must take advantage of the moments you have and zero in ..you can not be all over the map!!
Look we don't get that many chances to get our message out there..so when you can..be specific..be in control of the conversation, and the subject. And take a few moments before you go to an event and write down what you want to say...
you never know when you will get to a reporter..be specific..be in control..and follow it up with giving them a piece of paper they will have to look at when they empty their pockets when they get home!


Take advantage of every time you can get to speak to those who will carry our message...another words have "your" talking points written down and after speaking hand it to who you are conveying your message!!

this is hopefully just a little helper for anyone who gets that reporters ear the next time or a congress person or a senator..

"own" what you want to tell them.." own " what message you want them to remember!! and what action you want them to take!!
then they will remember you , and your message!!
