At least his staff had the sense to get him to mention the hurricane first during his speech, but the time and emotional intensity he gave to the second section, on Iraq, clearly showed where their real priorities are. This was NOT the time for them to show so much desperation to "catapult the propaganda."

if he veered inappropriately to topic that would be promotional FOR HIM, rather than solely focusing on those on the path of the distructive Katrina. I predicted that he couldn't help himself. Wonder where we can find a transcript. Powerful indictment per what his concerns are (his polling, rather than the safety of citizens.)

3. Just watch. He figures he's got....say 18 hours

to "craft" a speech that will do the job. His speechwriters are working hard to make a beautiful speech.

They'll try to weave in the real propaganda, like Iraq and forget Cindy Sheehan, nobody agrees with her, and whoops looks like gas prices are going to get ripped here, but don't worry because we've got everything under control, may the Lord bless New Orleans since I have a direct pipeline to God I'm sure he'll do his best.

6. in a sick way, this just lets you know how low he is now. he is willing

to use a speech about a category 5 hurricane hitting the united states to talk about iraq. obviously, he knows he's toast. his poll numbers should drop into the twenties now. this may be God's way of saying handle your business at home before you go digging into someone else's. this hurricane will not only be catastrophic to NOLA, but to the entire US economy...:scared:

prettling on and on about the Iraqi constitution while the country is facing a natural disaster of untold proportions

His priorities are screwed.

I hope he catches alot of hell for this. I bet he will.
