Another good trick may just be, if every time you see the doplar weather map with that big nasty red center, consider closing your eyes and projecting pure white light into it and visualizing that it'll dissapate.

The effect of doing so may indeed be immeasurable, but it sure beats obsessive worry about all those folks.

I'm praying for everyone looking in the face of this beast. I'd like to sound all wise and compassionate here, but the sheer magnitude of the projected damage overwhelms me. I'm reduced to the hope that suffering will be minimal and human lives lost will be as low as possible.

On a personal note, for the DUers who face the prospects of extended time away from home, come on up to Central Illinois. Kevsand and I will do all we can to put you up for a while or find a place for you.

It is my hope that all of us here at DU can do something to at least help alleviate the suffering of our fellow DUers who are impacted by this...
