Aren't receding targets fun?
Seriously, this anti-Clark stuff is getting ridiculous. Granted, I wasn't here when Dean jumped from the sidelines into the mainstream, and I gather that the same kind of thing happened. But this is just getting ridiculous.

Every time a concern is addressed, it seems like anti-Clark people will pick a new one. Every time a hoop is jumped through, one more loyalty test is added. Example: "OK, so he wasn't a Republican; ... he's an Independant! That's just as bad!"

To make matters worse, the "Clark's a Republican Mole" meme is trotted out any time he says anything to contradict these ideas. None of the candidates can do anything other than speak and make their voices heard; similarly, past performance is no indication of future performance. Look at Reagan - it's too bad the Republicans didn't have such a strong loyalty test, since he would have never gotten through it.

Using some of the standards the anti-Clark people enjoy, I hearby postulate that Al Sharpton is also a Republican plant. After all, he openly welcomed Clark to the party. Not only that, but we don't know that he's not a Republican plant. And what about that Tawana Brawley business? I just don't trust the man.:tinfoilhat:

2. Himseeking the Democratic nomination while not actually being
a Democrat is a huge concern to me.

He's Naderizing the primaries and has completely lost any chance of getting my vote.

4. Before Clark made it official that we was going to run
Many of us who supported him said that he was a Democrat. Anti-Clark people told us that we couldn't know that he was a Democrat, because in Arkansas you don't have to declare you political party affiliation.

When he made it official, all of the sudden he became a Republican. Now he is an independant.

Have you considered that maybe he excercised his option to not declare his party affiliation and that people are spinning this as him being an independant?

5. oh, for fuck's sake
Welcome to a damned presidential primary. What, Clark's supposed to waltz through the process unscathed? He gets his turn in the mosh pit just like the rest.
