I've got questions. RE: Katrina's devastation
This is developing as the worst disaster to hit the US since the Galveston Hurricane of 1900. I am praying that it will weaken and turn and that the people can get out.

But what will happen? Are the National Guard units depleted because of the war? I'm looking at oil going sky high tomorrow - what will that do to the economy? Does the US Government have enough emergency money to help clean it up? What will that do to the dollar? How many people will be without homes and jobs?

Good God, I've never seen anything like this in my life.

9. I heard that New Orleans could be under water for weeks.
Lake Ponchartrain will spill over the levees and the pumps will have no electricity and can only pump about 1" a day when fully operational.

The forecast is for temps in the mid 90s after the storm. Can you imagine the stench and disease?

6. I've got questions too!
Is Cindy and the group in Crawford going to be OK if they get the ""fringes" of this storm? I have "visions" of that huge tent blowing away like a huge kite!!! Has someone been in touch with them so they can get the hell out of there if they have to? It's very possible, because of the size of this MOTHER they could get torrential rains, and high winds. Also, not all of our military is overseas!! I've got a grandson in Texas in the airforce, and I'm praying his base doesn't get hit. He's not far from San Antonio. I'm sure there are other bases in the gulf area, if they don't take a big hit, could be able to help out. My prayers go out to all who are in perils way, and for all those trying to help!! As far as "shrub" in Crawford, I hope the EYE OF THE STORM lifts him up out of his western white house MANSION (not a lean to as he would have us believe) and carry his sorry ass out of all our lives!! (But only if Cindy and the gang can get out of there safely!!)

8. Houston , crawford etc. are WEST of the storm--
the west side pretty much gets nothing. Don't worry. Local weather forecast:http://www.click2weather.com/index.html

Houston Metro Forecast
KATRINA HEADING TOWARD THE CENTRAL GULF STATES! HAVING AN AFFECT ON OUR WEATHER TOO.

SUNDAY: Hot with temperatures in the mid 90s. Katrina is helping bring a chance of storms into Southeast Texas today by draging storms from our north towards us.

NEXT WEEK: Depending on the track of Katrina we will likely see dry, less humid air filter in Tuesday through Thursday, but still warm!

7. Bush is biking, and probably reading a book about a goat
This administration has no idea how to handle this: Real people - many poor - with no hope. Wait a minute, they approve of that attitude.
