1. Kill them softly
With a thousand bites. We don't want to overplay our hand. I think this story has legs, but if we turn it into ALL politics people will lose focus on the REAL story.

This story has merit on its own. If it even comes close to taking on the appearance of a political hack job, it is immediately diminished in the eyes of the sheeple and they will ignore anything anyone has to say about it.

This needs to stay above board and merely kept in the press by the dems. The CIA is in charge of this one. I think their toes have been stepped on enough to make this a real problem for the misadministraitors. (freudian spelling intended)

edit: replace html brackets with real brackets

2. Ashcroft should recuse himself
Then get a special counsel and let the chips fall where they may.

3. our response...
...should be to insist that focus be on the national security fallout. The work of the CIA in following loose nuclear material in the Middle East is compromised.

This isn't just a leak. It's the blowing of intelligence contacts and networks.

5. Keep the pressure on
demand to know progress.

Keep asking, where is the investigation? When will it be completed?

Not really sound questions but enough to keep it from being swept under the rug.

They are in control of every office, every branch in Washington.... We can only protest....We can't mobilize any real efforts. They are a united front.

They hold all the face cards and will use them. We can't do a thing about it.

There is one option, a long shot....Get control of the Senate...We need some repug's to cross over. Several may just to do the right thing.

10. As a moderate, centrist southern Democrat, I say...
Hit 'em. Hit 'em hard. Keep hittin' 'em. This is a clear cut case of criminal wrong doing and the president is dragging his feet to cover up for his buddies. This is exactly the sort of thing we need to get rid of the BFOE for.
