KPFT Local News Director Renee Feltz visited Crawford, Texas yesterday, when about 7000 people ballooned Crawford from its normal size of 705. Leon Smith, editor in chief of the Lone Star Iconoclast, has been reporting in Crawford for five years, and can give us a local journalists' view of Camp Casey, the counter protesters, and living in a town that suddenly became famous through no fault of its own.

Sunday Monitor co-host Pokey Anderson visited Camp Casey this week, and brings sounds from her visit, including Jeff Key playing taps; a brief clip of Cindy Sheehan; Patricia Foulkrod, who showed her film about the cost of war for American soldiers fighting it --The Ground Truth ... www.THEGround Truth.org; and several people who came long distances geographically or politically to be at Camp Casey.
