Two disasters * cannot control....Katrina and Iraq... |

all the rw spinning in the world will not make either of these situations any better.
God bless the people who will be affected by this storm. So sad that the National Guard, who are supposed to be available to help out in disasters like this, are all bogged down in the quagmire known as iraq.
Blessings and prayers to all of them!

1. We can't blame Katrina on W other than cutting Corps of Engineers funding |
|
for hurricane protection if that report was accurate.

One is natural (that would be katrina for those of you wondering) and one is *-made.
And this madman is going out west to push for the extermination of Social Security when millions of his fellow 'murkans are going to be suffering. Typical.

3. that is really the point of this thread...he has no control of either |
|
and really doesn't care about the real people affected in either. Any president that uses the forum of speaking about a CAT5 hurricane that will hit the US as a propaganda tool to trump of the failed iraq constitution is despicable. he spent 2 minutes on Katrina, and the majority of his speech on the quagmire.

4. the msm are reporting that gas prices |
|
are going to start climbing tomorrow if there is any damage to the huge oil refineries that are out in the gulf...(most likely) according to one report - when Hurricane Andrew came through it took 6 months to fix the damage to the refineries... i think i'm going to go fill up my car asap....
