19. Okay, I am starting to cry. Jesus, people!
Every state should be calling up their Air National Gaurd right now. Don't give me Iraq.

They need to recquisition school buses and have armed troops at checkpoints going out of the city... ORDERING drivers to fill up their cars with people. They need to get all the transport choppers they can and do sweeps of neighborhoods and pull people out by force. I just listened to a report on NPR... unless a miracle happens and diverts this storm.... may god help them all.

10. I actually saw an old black lady with a walker.
A man in a military uniform walked right by her. At no time did he offer to take her and lead her to the front. Actually, he seemed more to be guarding and watching the black folks instead of helping anyone.

43. I was just watching WWL in NO streaming...
Looks like a lot of the big affliates are pulling people out now, moving them to Baton Rouge...

It's possible we're going to not see a lot of new coverage...

I heard Fox has a reporter at the Dome, but a reporter at WWL said the Dome lost its fiber feed! So the only live news may be WWL soon... And I think they're moving at midnight (NO time)...

Hey, rodeodance, thanx for the updates... I really appreciate it! :)

We're praying for all the people in NO and along Katrina's path... stay safe...

The lines are almost gone, not many people still coming. They're getting ready to hunker down. No one will be turned away.

46. Just on WWL a reporter was saying NG brought MREs to Superdome
People waited for hours (3-4 hrs) to get in...

The National Guard was (at some point) triaging, asking for women and children to come forward first. (I didn't hear anything about elderly, or infirm)...

And the National Guard started bringing in MRE's... I missed the amounts quoted... sorry! :(
