If only the energy industry didn't give all that money to lobby Congress
Edited on Sun Aug-28-05 10:00 PM by Melodybe
to kill all alternative resources and ignore all the science on Global Warming.

If only we had made them sit down and shut up 30 years ago, if only.

If only they had started mandatory evacuation early, Bush hadn't have cancelled millions in aid, opened both lanes for exiting traffic, and not destroyed our world with chemicals and toxins.

If only those thieving, lying, murdering fucktards weren't so god damn greedy.

3. If only New Orleans didn't exist in the first place...
This was coming for a long time and was going to happen eventually. Los Angeles and San Fransisco are in prime position to be shaken to the ground. Tokyo and Mexico City are at risk of being buried in ash from nearby volcanoes. Florida and the entire Carribean are in Hurricane Alley. Natural disasters happen regardless of Human interference or presense. While Global Warming might have influenced this storm's developement, this storm's developement DID NOT require the influence of Global Warming.

It's easy to blame greed for the woes of the world, but the fact remains that the city of New Orleans - like many others - lives and thrives on borrowed time...

4. Bull if this storm is a result of our changiing world climate
Edited on Sun Aug-28-05 10:22 PM by Melodybe
if this storm is just the beginning of what nature has in store, then I damn well deserve an oportunity to point a finger at the oil industry.

Maybe if the congress had chosen to listen people like my Grandfather, who has been warning of weather just like this for over 20 years and not the oil industry, who spent billions on getting people to ignore science, maybe we would not have to worry about huge fucking hurricanes shredding us into nothing all the time.

This is just the beginning, it is going to get way worse.

The finger must be pointed at all industries that told us that dumping billions of tons of toxins into our environment would do no harm.

This finger goes right to the oil industry!
