1. Why should any nation offer anything???
Edited on Sun Aug-28-05 10:27 PM by BrklynLiberal
If we have enough to throw away a billion (is it a week or a month?) on Iraq, how could we have the nerve to be asking for help from anyone else?

4. It's a billion a week in Iraq
And more than a billion a day on defense.

However, if there's a disaster of tsunami proportions in New Orleans, the other nations of the world will do the right thing, and if the Bush administration had any shame at all it would be ashamed.

2. With as much money as we are throwing down the rabbit hole in Iraq
Why would any country give us any aide at all?
It's like giving money to a crack addict and expecting them to buy groceries---it's not going to happen. They are going to buy crack.
You give the USA money--they are going to funnel it to Halliburton.
To think anything else means you are seriously delusioned.
