2. Oh god
It might be the booze I chugged, but all of a sudden I'm really scared. It hasn't REALLY hit me until now. My city, my house, could be gone.

I bet listening to "Spirit in the Sky" by Norm Greenbaum doesn't help either.

4. Dude
I'm in my dorm room at LSU in Baton Rouge. ANd my family (and the dogs) came up to stay in my grandmas house here last night. We're all good. I still fear for my city. I love that place; it's in my blood, and I have 20 years of memories there.

6. This is always the risk when you evacuate hospitals or nursing homes
which is why they don't like to do it.
I was on shift and we had a tornado come through--all the patients had to be brought to the hallways where it was safest.
We had two patients suffer cardiac arrest because of the stress of being out in the hallway.
Many of these folks are that fragile.
I feel badly for their families.
