About the causeway bridges...

does anyone know if they are closed yet, if not when are they going to be closed.


also, has anyone discussed whether these things can take what they are about to be subjected too?

2. I heard talk on WWL that they'd probably close as soon...
as the winds kicked up to 40-50 mph...

3. Hmmm, I guess that makes sense...
cause when they close them there still gonna be an hour or twos worth of traffic left on them. Thats my main concern, 24 miles long they gotta close them 3 hours in advance of when they think they wont be safe.

4. Yeah, exactly...
I'm thinking most people that were going to leave did already, and those staying are hunkered down...

I just hope that the people in the lower areas that took shelter are at safe locations... I heard the Red Cross wasn't opening any shelters inside city limits because they thought it was too dangerous.

This sucks on such a phenomenally huge level I can't even believe it...

5. they just said on WDSU that they are closing them now
