If I hear "I remember 9/11" or "What about 9/11" again I'll scream!
Was just at 7-11 when the freeper-type lady was at the checkout dissing Cindy calling her a traitor and all that other shit. So, myself being a rude northeasterner who calls people on their bullshit, asked her why she thought we are in Iraq. "I remember 9/11" she said.

Me: What did Iraq have to do with 9/11.

Her: They did it. Arent you paying attention.

Me: Saddam did 9/11? What about Bin Laden?

Her: Its all the same thing and I'm done talking about this, thank you...

Me: You arent paying attention!

She goes out to her minivan and as I'm leaving a teenage girl in her van flips me off with the lady laughing.

Damn, I wish that Fox and the other RW media sources werent so damn effective.

I just tell people that are on that track to turn on something other than Fox news; that they actually might learn something.

I wish there was a MSM outlet that could speak the truth. People just watch the lies on the MSM and believe everything. We need our own television network news, but we will never get it.

10. I ACTUALLY WITNESSED AN URBAN MYTH!
Speaking of freepers with blinders on, I thought it was just a story, a legend, but as I was driving to work the other day, there it was in the lane next to me:

A BIG WHITE CHEVY SUBURBAN WITH NOT 1, BUT 2 "DUBYA" STICKERS ON THE BACK WINDSHIELD AND A "SUPPORT OUR TROOPS" MAGNET ON THE BACK HATCH!

I also heard "Mikee" of Life cereal fame died of "pop rock" poisoning. That one really WAS a myth.

SO REMEMBER KIDS: USE UP ALL OF OUR NATURAL RESOURCES! That's what God put them here for in the first place!

GOD BLESS AMERICA, AND NO PLACE ELSE!

41. I saw a cliche on wheels in Portland once:
an Ann Coulter lookalike driving a Suburban plastered with freeperish bumperstickers (there was no war on yet), dashing out of the parking lot across a lane of traffic, just missing a car, and zooming off at a speed too high for an urban street, and (of course), doing all this while yakking on a cell phone. :eyes:

And it seems to be a 50/50 split on opinions here.

Ther is some hope here.

17. That's good news from conservative SD county!
50/50 is pretty good for that area. I was stationed at North Island during my time in the Navy and I can remember going to Padres games and listening to people talk about how much they admired a couple of the Padres players for being John Birchers! I had gone to the game specifically to root FOR the Giants and against the Padres BECAUSE of the John Birchers on the team. And this was in the mid to late 80's!!!

We just had a pizza party here at work and at one point we got into a discussion about Bush and there were at least 9 people in the room and not one of them was a supporter of BushCo! I feel very lucky indeed.

14. Hell yes I remember!
I remember the fear that my son's school would be attacked, that my husband would get caught in some kind of attack himself. I remember envying my dog and cats that they didn't know what had happened that day. I remember looking up in fear at the first airplane that flew overhead afterward, the second airplane, the third, etc. Everything and everybody was suspect. I became, for a short while, something I never knew possible - a bigot.

Maybe she forgot it was Bin Laden, not Hussein. Maybe she forgot that they were "somehow" able to attack the Pentagon. Maybe she forgot her fab boy * sitting there reading a book for 20 minutes, then tucking tail and running.
