Well, for starters, I think Matalin is not on the "inside" with the Libby/Rove boys because everyone knows she's married to Carville. That's my own personal opinion.

I don't think they get into inner working things with each other, and I'd imagine that Matalin is defending them and Carville is looking at this thing going 'ooh they're gonna get in trouble'. Let things take their own course, so to speak.

And he is doing his part, helping the candidates, etc.

But the instant Matalin is implicated, all bets are off. Talk about your Ragin' Cajun, he's going to go berserk.

Carville was particularly pissed at Novak yesterday on Crossfire, especially after Novak made some insensitive joke about people who had lost their health insurance. when I saw her picture on Drudge. Why was it there among all the usual suspects? Yes, I can see Cheney/Rove getting Matalin to do this- whether she was officially resigned at the time this was done doesn't matter; she is so loyal to the Bush family and is mean as a snake. these people are so very, very sick they never should have been allowed to put their hands on the levers of government.
