1. Lol
Andrea Mitchell reports that Wilson's wife
was an operative on the 'Secret Side' of the CIA

A former Fed PRosectutor says any Senior WH Official should know better, "You'd need a stupidity defense unheard of these days"

2. CNBC saying postive things about Wilson
How he secured the release of diplomats after Iraq invaded Kuwait, and how Bush I called him a hero

4. Wilson is on now...kick
Edited on Wed Oct-01-03 06:08 PM by Cush
Wilson is basically saying: "Why does politics matter? This was a crime"

Says he & his wife contributed to Bush/Cheney. He's given to both Dems and Reps

On Rove
On the frogmarch comment: The CIA is attached to the White House, they are part of the Chain of Command....this was political. I'd look at the White House first

6. I hope I don't get in trouble for saying this,
But I kind of wish Wilson would stop talking so much. It seems like every single time he has anything to say, the Repugs take it out of context and use it to discredit him and/or his wife. Little by little they are trying to undermine his credibility and by Wilson saying stuff about movie roles and taking down the administration, it really does not help his case. I know that he has a right to defend himself and his wife, but he seems to be overdoing it just a bit.

8. It's been demonstratably proven...
...that when dealing with the Bush regime, you MUST take them head on. Kicking back and resting ones heels is an assurance that you will be buried. With scandal after scandal, the whistleblowers have been gradually silenced, slandered and/or worse. No, for his own safety, he needs to stay out there as long as it takes.

10. I understand that part of it
Maybe he needs to consult with a PR who can guide him in how they will twist his words if he is not careful. Sometimes I cringe when I hear him speak because I know how what he is saying is going to be spun out of control.

11. This is the best way for him to defend his wife.
Edited on Wed Oct-01-03 06:24 PM by tjdee
If they did that to my (totally-fictional-hope-to-get-one) husband, I would be raising holy hell wherever I could.

They ruined her career and made her, and all her contacts (not to mention national security) sitting ducks. This is the best way for him to defend her (not to metnion himself).

SO THAT AMERICA DOESN'T FORGET.

I sure would be on every television show. It's like giving the WH the finger every single time. Wilson is showing that he's not the one, LOL. Every time they spin it, he's on the next night somewhere addressing the spin charges.

12. Did Brian Williams just admit that he KNOWS THE NAME?
Does EVERYONE in Washington know the name? What's up with this thing? This is scary...
