Iraq may become a Theocracy...
But do you believe that Iraq will still have more freedoms than the US if the Far Right gets their way?

2. Actually no. I've heard some things in Islamic law that we will never
see here, thank God! Women won't be allowed to go outside without a male escort, it's up to the husband if he wants to grant his wife a divorce, no matter what the reason she wants one. Things like that. I've said all along that a Theocract is what Iraq really wants, so I'm not surprised that they're heading that way.

3. hmmm
Getting shot in the head or falling off a cliff, which is worse ?

I choose neither option. Though I do hope more than believe that the right doesn't create the fascist state that they want.

6. No, we would still have significantly more rights ...
... however, if we ended up with a RW CHRISTIAN FUNDAMENTALIST theocracy we (esp. women) would be equally "screwed."

7. Since the wingnuts are trying to turn America into one, this shouldn't
bother them at all. I personally believe what Jesus said about the separation of church and state: Give unto Ceasar what belongs to Ceasar. Give unto God what belongs to God. And: Man cannot serve God and Man.
