....What is the deal with Aaron anyway...good gawd he's annoying. He's always like this, but right now he's really irritating to me. He just romanticizes EVERYTHING in the news....goes off on lyrical ponderances about the tragedies in life, such as Hurricane Katrina. The guy is such a narcissist. He thinks that his musings are more important than the story, which is most certainly still in it's rawest form. There is structural devastation, extensive flooding, likely many (hundreds?) dead....and he feels the need to wax poetic.

6. Some of us like "old time" newsmen..even if the news is threadbare

on the things we care about some of the time. I've seen him back 911 families when the WH tried to close down the 9/11 investigation - by questioning the wisdom on sitting on stories about politicians past cocaine use. He refused to interview that guy who wrote the book on the 100 worst Americans.

The wingnuts have had it out for him since..since he does speak his mind.

We don't have many human beings reading the news these days. We also don't have many with old time journalistic sensibilities. Don't knock Aaron. He does a better job of reporting than most.

The stories he covers are not so much to do with Aruba. He covers everything.

If you don't like him - turn the channel. Me - I like - and it is a good place to get a round up of a new story. And he refuses to interview neocon writers who write useless books.
