2. I'm afraid there will be more stories like this
once daylight comes tomorrow and they can start really assessing things.

May those lost rest in peace, and peace and strength to those surviving.

9. very moving...
I'm listening with horror...her reports about dogs yelping and being elecuted by wires & no one can get there... People being trapped in boats or houses...

Brown is doing a good job of keeping her calm, yet getting the story... Jeanne is hanging in there...how awful...

10. Jeanne made it real in a way NOTHING else has all day.
The horrific injuries. They had to stop the rescues, they need boats badly. I am in tears! This is only going to get worse.

14. Yes, she's a straight-up hard nosed reporter.
She must be tired, horrified, hungry, and wrenched out by the ordeal.

She heard people dying, yelling for help. That doesn't go away.

15. why can't SEALS rescue these people?
thousands of hungry, wet people sleeping on their rooftops in the rain because we don't have enough boats to save them? The police are going home to get their own personal boats to use for rescue, is that right? Why not use all our military amphibious craft to patrol all night and SAVE THESE PEOPLE? We have billions of $$ invested in all this military CRAP, and now that there is a REAL use for it, local cops are using their own little fishing boats instead. DAMN I am pissed.
