For those trying to find/contact loved ones in the hurricane/flood areas

The Salvation Army in conjunction with Amateur Radio operators have a service:

http://qso.com/satern/emailfrm.htm

Some details of their emergency operations are at:

http://www.arrl.org/news/stories/2005/08/29/2/?nc=1

I would suggest that only family or one close friend use the service to avoid inundating them with duplicate requests. The information can them be disseminated by that person.
