Well, New Orleans is closed!
Search and rescue will be going on tomorrow, Tuesday. Curfews are in effect as well. 5000 Entergy (electric company) trucks are going towards N.O. tomorrow, too. Reports of 750,000+ without power Louisiana. That doesn't include the million that are still out in the other states, and that number is probably growing. May take up to a month to get power around New Orleans.
Somehow, Lafayette got missed by the winds that went and did some damage all the way north to Alexandria and Shrevesport. My niece in Alabama is gonna get wet from this storm, as well.
Pictures are a a premium; since there's no power and the helicopters didn't go far enough to check New Orleans' West Bank or North Shore.
State offices in New Orleans are closed...The scenes of the buildings with windows blown out, roofs peeled off, lightpoles snapped like matchsticks, flooding and rescues...
Folks won't be going home soon.
