Things our "President" could be doing right now?
Maybe he needs some help thinking of what to do. He is a man of small brain. What can he do about this situation in the Gulf--OUR Gulf, where people are spending the night on their roof screaming for help, in the Superdome, in a hotel seeing their house underwater.

Any ideas? I know this may be hard. It's hard work, to have ideas.
:grr:

4. The compassionate conservative member of the party of life
Should act like he gives a damn. Maybe that fundraiser could have have been rescheduled tonight. Maybe he could go and actually SEE the damage. maybe, he could bring back the National Guard members who should have been there to help prepare and clean up.

8. Getting impeached for countless things...
Don't we wish! Maybe after next year, though.

People are dead and suffering in his own country. Even his repuke counterpart, MS Governor Haley Barbour, showed some level of concern about how many casualties are likely out there.

As for *, well, back to the ranch, I guess. Loser.

hotel, sleeping the sleep of the righteous.

No, I don't want him to become a better resident. Not anymore. I want him out of office and before a tribunal.

14. not much he can do
to stop an act of nature...
(I won't be surprised if Falwell or Robertson blames the storm on the 'wicked ways' of the Big Easy - wait for it, it's coming)

However - "moving forward" - instead of cutting budgets for the New Orleans district of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers there should be more effort put into keeping cities and citizens safe

we can be sure of one thing that he will be doing -- taking a helicopter ride over the area, and probably a photo-op with a few people - heck, he may even had out a bottle of water or two...

meanwhile - this storm is going to choke the rest of us too -- you think gas prices are high now - just wait for damage assessment of the oil rigs and refineries. And then there's the National weather service prediction about a long cold winter - yeah it's going to be very cold when people can't afford to heat their homes.

bush*'s solution is to drill in ANWAR - won't help much for this winter - but he's "resolute" in a "noble cause" and determined to "stay the course" --- whatever that is...

reminds me of a road trip as a kid -- we were "off course" - my mom says "I think we're lost, we should ask for directions."

My dad replies - "We're not lost, I just don't know where we are...."

nuff said

23. how about getting on the phone to his underwriters...
I mean, supporters/campaign donors/etc and telling them to divert X% of the amount they were planning on giving him to disaster relief? Or asking the Waltons to donate bottled water and emergency food?

Or reminding the religious right that every life is precious and asking them to help house the homeless once they've been evacuated?

Or demanding the Sec. of Homeland "Security" explain to him and the nation why his organization appears to be unprepared for an expected natural disaster?

16. Pull the LA and MS national guardsmen out of Iraq
along with their vehicles.

He won't pull all of the troops out of Iraq, which needs to happen, but the governors of Louisiana and Mississippi need their troops right now.

he told people to pray. :eyes:

I'm a Christian, but you know, praying isn't the only thing a "leader" is supposed to do at a time like this.

20. Looks like he is hard at work planning...>

anther WAR and preparing for MARTIAL LAW.

United States Northern Command (NORTHCOM) posted news of a nuclear terrorism drill on its website:: "Here’s the scenario…A seafaring vessel transporting a 10-kiloton nuclear warhead makes its way into a port off the coast of Charleston, S.C. Terrorists aboard the ship attempt to smuggle the warhead off the ship to detonate it." It went on to say that "Sudden Response 05 will take place this August on Fort Monroe and will be carried out as an internal command post exercise. The exercise is intended to train the JTF-CS staff to plan and execute Consequence Management operations in support of Federal Emergency Management Agency Region IV’s response to a nuclear detonation." As Alex Jones of infowars.com and others have pointed out, terror "drills" are now known to be the favorite "cover story" for New World Order terrorist operations, as evidenced by the eerily accurate terrorism drills happening on both 9/11 and 7/7.
