the sudden flooding. I do not know there they were broadcasting from--women in slippers etc caught by surprize. On cnn and line along bottom said New Orleans.

5. I was reading an article on MSN about a couple of men who stayed

behind to take care of neighbors who could not leave - son recently shot, paralyzed and in a wheelchair..another elderly gentleman had a broken leg and couldn't be moved.

On Larry King some idiot from PA wanted to know if the people "choosing" to remain behind could be fined for having to be rescued.

They are refuges. It's what happens in a disaster. It can and does happen in America. Always seems the attitude is that America is somehow too great for refuges. But when you preach a dog eat dog world and every man for himself...then expect the worst of human nature to make things that much worse for those in need.

I'm just ranting. Sorry.

10. working by moonlight and flashlights. Entire families being rescued

at the moment from houses where water is up to attics.
9th ward of French Quarter.
No one has a clear of what is actually going on--as it is not yet light.
