Bush will get criticized here as an opportunist if he goes to the disaster scenes, and callous if he doesn't. I can't stand him either, but let's be honest here.

That said, the shortage of National Guard troops will be a very, very big story if this situation continues to worsen, and you can bet the state and local politicians will be all over it.

Print out pictures of Bush eating cake while the Gulf Coast getting slammed. Let everyone you know that Bush is in California fundraising while the South is struggling with the aftermath. Let everyone know that the Lousianna Natiional Guard in Iraq. It is our responsibility to get the news out to the masses. If they don't see it on their TeeVee is ain't happening.
