Why haven't you been calling in to your local right wing radio shows?
Why are there no actions that involve calling into local talk radio call in shows?

I was just on KLIN correcting one of their guests (Gary Marx) who had claimed (Judicial Confirmation Network)was "a grassroots organization".

When he said the word "grassroots" I did a web search and found this on the first page...

http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2005/7/5/91341/50154

I've been calling into the local talk radio call in shows, and calling some out of town shows that have a toll free number.

These are the stations that broadcast Ingraham, Rush, Hannity, O`Reilly, Savage, ect.

Don't bother calling the national shows because you'll never get on the air to make a point.

Their "callers" range from mostly scripted to entirely scripted shills.

The local shows are entirely different.

Though hosted by Bushbots they don't have the same call screening process as the syndicated shows.

You can get on the air and correct them on any misinformation they're repeating.

You can get on the air to answer their questions when they ask for callers.

You can have your point heard by many thousands of people with much less time and effort than it takes to write a letter to the editor.

Finally, since you're calling into a Bushbot station, you're reaching those most in need of the sort of reality chech that an articulate DUer can provide.

1. Because I have a life
A. Are you really going to change anyone's mind who listens to Rush?
B. There is a 99 percent chance the call screener will not let you through.
C. Why are you listening to Rush in the first place?
D. You can find better ways to spend your time.

4. I said DON'T call the syndicated Rushbozos. Call in to local programs
Where you WILL get on the air.

It helps if you are polite while delivering your devastating info, also your comment must be brief to get on the air.

I've been calling in for about a year and get on the air on several local stations.

I try not to call any one station more than twice a week.

Often the toll free line for the Omaha station is busy, and if you do get through you have to hold for a bit.

With the Lincoln stations I get through right away.

Yeah, I don't have a life because I go through the trouble to do this.

Thanks a lot!

2. I've called one of the local idiots more than once
I tell the screener the real reason for my call, and I never make it on the air.

3. Maybe you need to tell the screener less then. Keep your comment short.
You can expand on it once you're on the air, especially if the host asks a follow up question.
