My one and only looting thread

I have watched my local newscasts and they hardly mentioned the looting. The majority of the stories I have read around the net are dealing with the lives of the people and the massive destruction of the gulf.
I have seen looting mentioned a few times in some stories, but they were just a paragraph or so of the whole story. The only place I am hearing a lot about the looting is here on DU.
I want to know what news you are all watching or reading. To be honest, even though I posted in some of the threads, I am not as concerned with the looting as I am with saving lives. So are you all watching fox or what? Where are all the stories coming from?

.....on CNN is enough to throw people in a tither that the media is obsessed with it. In reality, it's just the media showing a part of the hell in a handbasket that develops during these things.

and this morning he talked about it again... HE is the one obsessing over this and making threats on the local teeVee.

folks are naturally upset by it.

There are obviously differences of opinions on the subject, but at this time it is a bit ridiculous to have 500 threads on the morals of looting.
