This is getting worse by the minute. There is only one way out of town. The government needs to start evacuating people to minimize the disaster that is happening NOW.

|
...but my heart hurts for my southern Louisianians....all my family in Baton Rouge faired okay with only power outages...I'm doin' aight just terribly upset for all those POOR people down south o'here...our shelters here in Monroe are supposed to be THE BEST around...just hope they'll be able to keep up with the influx of displaced people...this is beyond heartbreakin'. :loveya:

Will be trying to drop tons of sand on the levee break in an attempt to plug it up.

Damn! Can you imagine what a 3,000lb sandbag looks like? In any case, it'll take a while. There's no way that helicopters can carry more than 1 at a time.

13. 3000 lbs of sand is surprisingly little |
|
sand is very heavy - we're talking something like a childs plastic wading pool filled with sand.

Said he is cutting short his Vacation and returning to the White House. The anchor said "Thank you, George" sarcastically.

15. This is just the kind of high drama that they normally |
|
love, only on a much much bigger scale....
You can only conclude that they are suppressing it for some reason...perhaps to prevent panic?
