Limbaugh drug story a red herring diverting attention off of Wilson Story.
A Rupert Murdoch owned paper publishing a "controversial" story about a political ally at such a precarious time for the Bush administration surrounding the Wilson-CIA affair is quite obvious.

Allows Limbaugh to run interference for the fascist crooks in the White House.

1. Nothing but a red herron!
Unfortunately, anyone who thinks TRAITORGATE is going away is a fool.

2. I dunno. Remember how Bush and Cheney were accused
of corporate malfeasance in the summer of 2002?

Where is that now?

6. Never mind that
What about Bush Knew, Niger Uranium, BinLaden and Carlyle Group, yada yada yada. The media always treats this criminal with kid gloves.

3. I don't think it's going anywhere, either
Besides, the Enquirer is hardly a mainstream news source.

4. I do think you're on to something, though
because Drudge calls this a "media assassination" of Rush.

8. drudge ??
"media assination"..he should talk.

this story won't work if its meant as a distraction..Liberals will see it for what it is and Republicans won't want to know about it.
Let 'em keep throwing up 'distractions' ..liberals just have to get a bit smarter about using the media.

9. I thought it was an example of the pot calling the kettle black, too
I was just wondering if this is a precursor of what Rush's defense will be.

5. The Limbaugh comments are a diversion themselves.
Perfect timing. Trying to keep this k-drags distracted.

7. nope, this was a house keeper with a wire
supposedly working for the cops, this story is credible enough for the NY daily news to run.

We'll have to hear what she picked up

10. Limbaugh will hold the spotlight while Traitorgate slowly goes away.
High-profile Pigboy can easily hog the attention.

But IMHO, it won't work. Traitorgate is simply too big.

11. that or are they doing a hatchet job
on Rush before he develops a conscience.

Tin foil hat moment, yes tight good.

Rush knows some embarrasing details that could land him
in front of a grand jury, regarding the WH... you do the
hatchet job, even if it is not true... credibility goes
down, (after all who listens to druggies?)

It serves a secondary role of running interference.
