I would only advocate choppers for people in urgent need, it seems that most could be pulled off roofs quicker by cajuns in john boats.

7. I watched video of a rescue of an elderly lady yesterday...

They were dragging her up into a boat and she was begging them to 'please don't photgraph me like this'... They ignored her... After all, this is LIVE TV!!! Think of the ratings!!

10. I watched that too and had to smile at that remark. Thankfully,

she came across as very brave and in no way humiliated herself. Bless her heart, she was 86 I think the young girl said and she looked like the trooper she is getting in that boat.

8. What about the oil companies - they have FLEETS of copters

they use them to ferry people out to the rigs, but they also use them to send their executives to posh little retreats. These copters and their crews are standing by right now, ready to take oil executives off for Labor Day holidays. Barbour should COMMANDEER every freaking helicopter in the state, but maybe he is afraid to take them away from the oil pirates who dominate the state. If they get mad, they will withhold contributions and Barbour's viability as a Republican fund raiser would be threatened.

I just turned on the TV for the first time in a few days.

People breaking through their roofs to escape on to the roof.

I wonder how many people were not smart enough or Strong enough to break through their roofs? :cry: :scared:
