Bush is Cutting His Vacation Short and Going Back to WD
I think he may have missed 1 day. And I guess maybe this huge disaster might need some attention. He wants to head up the disaster relief.

Raw Story is reporting that he is cutting his vacation short.

What a guy!

3. I think they were just waiting for an opportunity to get him out of Texas.
Cindy Sheehan was making Crawford a little too hot for the chimp.

5. I guess he can just cuss everybody out - he seems to be
good at that.

Maybe he should just call Bolton back to help.

6. It might be a good idea for him to pay attention
to the disaster in the South, his vote getting States. Why hasn't the Guard from all over the U.S. been mobilized to help? He hasn't been on tv to at Least express his sadness for what has happened to the area. He is a pitiful human being. Not enough helicopters, food, water, ect. He is a sick man.

7. We were probably better off with him on vacation
I mean, what's he going to do with "disaster relief"? Deregulate FEMA? Or just run it into the ground like he does with everything else?

W is one of those managers for whom a "hands-off approach" is not optional. I want his ultra-incompetent arse as far away from anything crucially important or survival related as possible.

8. He should find some country to blame for causing the hurricane...
...and invade them. It would be helpful if they had some oil, as well. After all, that strategy helped end terrorism, right?

9. Wonder whose idea in the administration it was...
"Hey, George, you'll look more "presidential" if you cut your vacation short and head back to Washington and PRETEND like you are doing something." BUSH: "Yeah, yeah, that's a good idea, and that way I can get away from that bitch in the ditch, and look like I'm some kind of damned hero. Hey, don't forget to get my mountain-bike on AF1--there's some good riding trails at Camp David. Got to get on with my life, you know."

Bush Cancels Vacation to Focus on Relief

WASHINGTON -
President Bush decided to cancel the rest of his vacation to concentrate on federal relief efforts for victims of Hurricane Katrina as his top disaster relief official lamented "catastrophic" damage in three Southern states.

more -

At the bottom of the story they do mention:

Some 6,000 National Guard personnel from Louisiana and Mississippi who would otherwise be available to help deal with the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina are in
Iraq

12. they're going to make him out to be a hero for cutting
his vacation short. there should have been executive orders issued before this to mobilize an evacuation effort. GW has a lot more blood on his hands.

14. Yes, but not before
Playing golf in Arizona, enjoying birthday cake with McCain, going to a luxury hotel in Sam Diego, and strumming the guitar while the south drowns.
This needs to be said over and over and over.
