Bush Returning to Monitor Relief Effort
By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
The AP strikes again.
http://www.nytimes.com/aponline/national/AP-Bush-Hurricane.html?hp&ex=1125460800&en=18f41e6aabcd38fe&ei=5094&partner=homepage

...
President Bush will cut short his vacation to return to Washington on Wednesday, two days earlier than planned, to help monitor federal efforts to assist victims of Hurricane Katrina
...
''We have got a lot of work to do,'' Bush said
...
after receiving a briefing early Tuesday on the devastation Katrina unleashed, the president decided that he needed to be in Washington to personally oversee the federal effort

Is AP any better than Talon news?

1. You mean he couldn't monitor it from Crawford?
After all, they've spent the month telling us that this was a working vacation, and that he could run the country from there.

7. I think what they mean is he is going to monitor the amount of $$ spent
on the poor vs the amount of $$ spent for the oil companies 'devistated' by Katrina. That is what they mean, you silly people. :silly:

10. ...and as Randi just pointed out
last week he was officially "not" on vacation. The west wing was being renovated. I guess he's just work around the paint cans and scaffolds.
