I hate to bring up public relations in this time of crisis, but, you'd think that at the very least in this White House, (one that is nothing but one big Public Relations Opportunity), that even THEY would fucking know better than to A: have the photo op happen in the first place and B: to release an official photo of our naked emperor pluckin' away at his presidential gee-tar while citizens in this country are fighting to survive.

It's despicable all around. I have a friend who had to leave New Orleans--it's likely he lost everything--and I hope to god he doesn't see this little hoe-down photo right now because if he did I suspect his head would burst into flames from the anger.

I sent the photo to everyone on my email list and I want it to be on the front page of every paper next to photos from all over the south. I want it on stickers and posters hung up all over this country.

I was engaging in a little hyperbole last post. My friend is no fan of Bush by any stretch, and I can imagine seeing that photo will probably lead him to at least invent a few new swear words. My point was only that as mad as it makes me, I can't begin to understand how pissed it would make someone like my friend (which of course is part of the reason why everyone needs to see it). I know my head would burst into angry flames because it is already.
