They do not have the facilities there to accomodate them. Trying to locate places to evacuate those people. Plans not firm yet. Working with FEMA.

that they were evacuating the Superdome? I heard the "adding more people" story from CNN, but I assumed that the local station would have more accurate info... So.. no evacuation?

i think they are moving some people to other locations, but more are arriving by the minute.

10. The National Guard brought food and water when they arrived before

Katrina hit. They and other agencies are bringing food, water, fuel and medical supplies to the Superdome, other shelters and hospitals. They are using boats, helicopters and trucks where they can.
