Google Earth is a great tool to look at New Orleans.
It helped me to understand what the area looked like, as I have never been in that area of the south.

As far as I know Google Eart is new. Sorry I can't tell you how to get it. My husband put it on my desktop for me.

It is the best geography tool I have ever used.

but I noticed when I looked at my neighborhood that the pictures are at least 3 or 4 years old.

7. My neighborhood pics were taken between 9/03 and 10/03
My neighborhood pics were taken between 9/03 and 10/03. I can tell because of the giant blue tarp on my neighbor's house after it was cut in two by Hurricane Isabel. That was the worst storm damage I've seen...Mike's house nearly destroyed (he's a contractor...rebuilt it in a couple months), 50ft trees snapped in half. It was hell just for a weak category 1 hurricane. I can't comprehend what's going on down south right now.
