I have a feeling they'll find WMD soon
there is too much heat on them right now, surely something must turn up soon.

WMD or Saddam. They still have some cards to play.

remember, Kay gives his report tomorrow.

1. finding WMD now
would only raise the question that some of the WMD may have gotten away (to terrorists!) while the WMD weren't under US control over the last few months -- personally I think this would hurt big time. How would they KNOW none were lost.

2. You can't find what's not there.
They can't plant it because that would require a major conspiracy; too many variables.

3. LOL! There is no WMD. I said it all throughout the build-up and invasion
And it's too late to plant it.

6. There were no nukes
More to the point, there was no nuke program. The IAEA had established that fact beyond any reasonable doubt.

This is important, because it single-handedly refutes the best possible argument that could be made for invading Iraq: Pollack's The Threatening Storm.

At this point, we can only find biological or chemical weapons programs. It wasn't worth the war.

7. People were saying the same thing six months ago
>>>I have a feeling they'll find WMD soon<<<

And six months from now someone will be saying the same thing. Need production facilities to build tons of this stuff. Big production facilities. Not something that one can miss when walking by it. They are noticeable. And thousands of agents working 1000's of man hours ofer a six month period have not found any production facilities. Can't make tons of this stuff in a "Winnebago of Death" that they can't find either. No matter what they say they find now will not be believed by anyone but freepers and idiots. Especially after the Wilson fiasco.

This makes spending on UFO research look like paying your water bill.

9. Frankly, I'm not sure anyone would care if they caught Sadaam
People don't give a shit anymore about him or the almost daily deaths of our troops. After all, The Bachelor just started again blah blah blah.....

If they catch Hussein tommorow it's a 48-hour story and then it's back to Bush's impotence with the economy et al.
