1. OMG -- I'd seen that and thought it was Lake Pontchartrain

I didn't realize it's I-10 -- WOW.

6. It is Lake Ponchartrain.

I-10 runs (ran) over it between NO and Slidell. Can't tell you how many times I've been across that span--very creepy to see it broken up like that. :-(

2. I don't think that I have any words for all of this anymore.

So much destruction, and the people who are trying to survive in this horrific mess, and the ones who didn't survive. Just so sad.

3. The WDSU video showed a car on the broken bridge.

The helicopter tried to see if anyone was alive but there were no signs of life. Lord have mercy on whoever was in the vehicle. :(

5. I've driven over that bridge many times.............

and I don't know if I ever will again. By the time they get that levee plugged it will already be too late. I don't think they can or will rebuild everything. New Orleans is a City known for it's charm and you can't rebuild charm.
