Tonight I'm thankful for my city....

after looking at the pics of the grand old lady of NO under water, her great history possibly damaged beyond repair, her proud citizens wondering how they are going to survive, her tall buildings standing silent witness to the devastation....

I'm thankful for Boston. How would I feel if I were witnessing her destruction. It's a feeling I cannot describe. I am totally humbled.

I grew up on the Gulf coast - I love the Gulf - her tangy smell, my childhood memories - my heart and love and prayers are with every single soul who suffers there tonight. May the true spirit of America be revealed in this disaster and may the peace and love of the universe envelope us all.
