Limbaugh says Left will find a way to "Politicize" Katrina
Evidently he feels there is something to talk bout:

Rush Limbaugh warned his listeners this morning that "the left" would find a way to "politicize" Hurricane Katrina. We wouldn't want to disappoint him, so here goes: Think Progress has dredged up a report showing that the Bush administration proposed to cut $71.2 million from the 2006 budget for the New Orleans district of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. According to the report, the cuts mean that "major hurricane and flood protection projects will not be awarded to local engineering firms," and that a study to find ways to protect the region from major hurricanes has been shelved.

How much is $71.2 million? Enough to fund about nine-and-a-half hours of war in Iraq.

impeachment for Bush and Cheney. When our side politicizes though, we tell the truth and present our facts.

13. hey now, Bush promised he would never politicize 9/11
I think it was in a speech in Ohio in early 2002 he promised to never politicize 9/11.

I can't imagine he would break such a big promise.

:sarcasm:

5. I'm going to do a little Projection...
Deep down, these Right Wingers should WISH this were a Democrat President (under similar conditions) - they'd be like pigs in a pigpen. Instead, they have to apologize and defend Bubble Boy Bush which makes them cranky!

7. They've said this after every disaster on Bush's watch
They always claim we politicize things before we even politicize them.

Which means that THEY end up politicizing the issue first.

8. Well, if the situation was reversed, the tighty-righties WOULD DO SO.
Forget this fat bag of oreo-eating lard who thinks illegal drug use is okay for him but wrong for everybody else. (pain killers no less, what a wimp!) He's a bag full of hot air that would challenge the Goodyear Blimp(tm) in terms cubic feet...

Again, if the situation was reversed, the tighty-righties WOULD DO SO. Their history proves as much and more.

To politicize it is not nice. But gander and geese, pots and kettles.

up. It must be the fastest way to get the lie started.
It's kinda like watching a cat in a litter box covering a turd.

Edited on Tue Aug-30-05 06:59 PM by MissWaverly
As the death toll mounts, the red states will wake up, George W. Bush is not a born again compassionate christian, he wouldn't even interrupt his vacation, he has gone back to TEXAS, he is not on his way to New Orleans, he is not sending troop transport to help with the evacuation, he MAY leave 2 days early, so what. People will realize that
he has sucked the country dry for his pet projects and left US at risk.
He sucked up the money for the levees for Homeland Security and Iraq.

21. Boortz said Mon. that "emergency people were crying wolf about flooding."
My hubby, a native of NOLA, heard that and was almost apoplectic. He is so angry. What the hell do these RW assholes think they're doing?
I hope Boortz had to eat his words today. I can't bring myself to listen to his stupid "show" to find out if he retracted his statements.
:( :grr: :(

24. Did He Say the Emergency Workers Were Crying Wolf?
That proves just how desperate the right-wingnuts are to cover Shrubya's sorry ass. They know he's responsible for coordinating relief efforts and that he isn't showing any leadership during this crisis. The Emergency workers will be very credible when they start going on TV and saying "We aren't getting anything that we need from Washington." They know criticism will come from all corners and they're going into shameless-attackmode, blaming the victims. If they're acting like this now in anticipation of scorn from emergency workers think of how they'll react when the residents and city government of NO speaks out. NO is the core of Democrat power in Louisiana, after all.

How has this Administration been so *psychic* about the New Orleans catastrophe?

23. And could anyone here possibly imagine....
... what Limpballs and his Freeptard Army (not to mention the media) would have said if Bill Clinton, Al Gore or John Kerry had decided to romp at a posh resort and play guitar while New Orleans and a good portion of the Gulf Coast was being destroyed?

But we all know the answer to that question, don't we.
