Why don't they do an air drop of FLOATATION DEVICES
The people in their attics and roofs are doomed tonight if they don't have anything to float with.

2. Not a bad idea
and if the floatation devices were bright orange or yellow, so rescue folks could spot them.

3. Because that would require someone actually thinking...
That's a great idea!! It takes a Democrat to come up with the good ideas. Funny how that works.

4. These folks only have about 4 feet of hope left tonight
If they failed repairing the levees there better be a way to float

6. I was thinking along the same lines with the food and water issue.
With all the helicopters in this country water and food can not be brought in for the people. MRE's are not that great but if that is all you got it will do for a short time.

Someone is not thinking at all.

Bush is off screwing around and not being an executive, which is his fucking job...

It just is more obvious when there is a disaster like this

10. No inflatable rafts to be had in this nation? No life preservers? Vests?
What the hell is going on down there? I have never witnessed such utter and complete incompetence!!

11. They could use night vision to locate live victims at night then....
during the day use the helicopters and planes to drop off rations, life preservers and aid to the people who you can't get to also it wouldn't hurt to have a UAV or two overhead to survey damage. They went way out of their way to bring aide to the tsunami victims and they keep sending our men in women into iraq to die over a worthless cause but when our own people are suffering it takes them* days to lift a finger it really boils my blood.

12. The flotation devices is a great idea
I doubt a 3' shark would do too much damage (sarcasm). I think this is what happens when there is no one in charge and no real plans.

It is human nature to focus in on the situation and not look at the big picture. Individuals can only do individual things (local emergency workers) posters above are looking at saving the many and hopefully the people in charge are doing the same.
