Larry King just said as per the Mayor - interviewing the Governor now. Fifteen feet?

2. Wonder if that's going to endanger the Superdome?
Edited on Tue Aug-30-05 08:39 PM by htuttle
Hmm...gonna be close to flooding the field, I think. Within a foot or two, if the previous descriptions of the Superdome were correct. I think there was already 3 feet of water around it.

Don't see them trying to evacuate 20,000 people in the dark of night by helicopter, but they better be getting ready if that's the only option.

on edit;

I suppose once the water gets high enough, they can just use boats.

4. Yes, that's what I heard too
They're expecting an ADDITIONAL 9 feet. Making the total 15 feet or higher. And that's assuming no more levees break. :(

5. Is there ANY coverage about the repair attempts?
Probably most important story in New Orleans, and all I can find is recycled video.
