Over the years...fox and others have failed to stick up for citizens that were "cleaned out" by Worldcom, Enron, Global Crossing etc.... people lost their life savings $$$$.

Fuax suggesting somebody who is stealing a loaf of bread or pampers or other under stress should be "shot"???


The media in America needs to be held accountable... they are an enabler for the "fleecing of america" and those that "can't think" follow the "afternnon rantings of Limbaugh and company and more."

What's next:

* housing bubble

NO disaster was foretold by many who said a cat 4-5 hurricane would
destroy the city...and 25% of US energy is "at risk"

So who holds govt and politicians accountable for "energy planning"???

Where has the focus for "alternative energy" been recoginizing the global demand increase for energy??

None of this "snuck up" on America... nobody plans and gives a shit.

As long as corporations are making big $$$$'s and fleecing america our politicians roll over.

What you have learned from the NO disaster is the need to "more self accountable than ever before"... becuase govt can't help or is not interested.

* insurance costs will rise across america
* energy prices will change the way we work and live
* govt is trying to cut soc safety nets

We will be those "poor people" looting if it happened in our cities...

We will be the looters when we can't afford health, energy and taxes.

2. Looting is what happens when you lose control of a situtation like we have

here. We have failed the people of New Orleans and not just the poorest of the poor. There are plenty of people who making it but still don't have the means to be away from their homes and work for months. With no answers coming from the leadership about when you are going to get food and the basic life supporting things, people will go of control. Focusing on people looting allows certain people to forget we have no overall plan.

We have people here who assume that all looters are taking is food, medicine and baby formula. That's not true.

But we also have some people, like on Fox News, who want to believe that all the looters are taking are TV's, computers, furniture and money out of ATM's. That's also just silly.

The former category is understandable, and possibly even necessary, while the latter category is truly looting and worthy of the death penalty.
