If this IS the beginning of the end...
do you believe it will end in thermonuclear annihilation?

7. If Einstein was so worried about humanity
then maybe he should not have helped invent a device that could destroy the world.

8. And let someone else invent it first?
Someone would have figured it out eventually.

11. Didn't have to be him
I just always found his after-the-fact humanitarian hand-wringing annoying.

It wasn't easy living with Hiroshima and Nagasaki as the result of his life's work, I'm sure. But what did he think the government was going to do with the bomb - rattle it like a saber?

12. It seems to have worked ever since.
I think they wanted to demonstrate it to show Japan and the others what was up. It's the kind of weapon that only really needs to be used once. Hopefully fear of its being used again can keep it from being necessary.

13. Only needs to be used once?
It's only been 60 years - a blip in historial terms.

14. Yes, but it has only been used twice in that time.
A relative blip over the course of sixty years.

4. Yes.
The sun expands in its dying, and envelopes the earth. many millions of years from now.
By then, we have left the system.

5. Be hopeful
We need hope, not despair. And determination - we need that too.

6. No I sure don't
No one can say for sure but I believe there are more of us than them. We just have to get a foot hold so that we can attack the pukes when they least expect it. Our law makers had better get their brains and mouths in order because I doubt Americans are going to put up with the fear factor for much longer. We are tired and growing more and more weary of the HEARTLESS agenda from that side of the fence.

9. No
This is more like the collapse of the Roman Empire. We will go out with a whimper, not a bang. What we may be facing if we don't pull together is the return of the Dark Ages.

10. No. Because the majority of earth wouldn't let that happen.
I truly believe that everyday people are basically good. Call me a Pollyanna, but I'd rather think that than anything else. :hi:

15. I don't believe the end is that near...
... however, the end for MOST of the creatures on this planet could be very close. A shitload of nukes could destroy most of the planet, but not everyone will die. And I believe that those who are left will rebuild whatever they can and live (hopefully peaceful) on this planet for a long time.

One day we might even discover other planets in other solar systems that have Earth-like properties. And with a little genius at work, we might be able to travel close to the speed of light and actually reach those far off solar systems and bring them the same diseases (human life) that Earth has.

Its possible that we will continue to learn more about the universe around us. And just maybe the human species will find a way to live on many planets?

All I'm saying is that someone will survive. They will find that Twinkie factory (Family Guy reference) and rebuild.
