Since the last few days have looked like a good time to call BushCorp on the carpet, I thought a report I heard on the CBC yesterday (Wednesday) morning would be worthwhile to add.
Apparently, yesterday was the first day Iraqi schools opened since the invasion. As some of you know, the Iraqi schools are being "reconstructed" by Bechtel Corporation. But, Bechtel is NOT rebuilding the schools.
In the CBC report, they talked about how only a few schools have been "reconstructed", and mostly for the benefit of Western media propaganda. Many Iraqi schools, especially in poor and working class areas, have not been touched by Bechtel and are in worse shape than they were in March 2003.
According to the CBC, Bechtel is recording schools as "reconstructed", but all they did was visit the schools once for an "inspection". Billions of dollars are missing.
Now, Iraqi school teachers are being told by "officials" that they are responsible for cleaning up the schools, finding supplies, etc.
Drip, drip, DRIP!
