The Protest Warriors are young people who usually appear at anti-war related activities with slogans based on “right-wing irony,” such as “War Has Never Solved Anything (except for everything).” However, in a odd turn of events, and despite repeated pleadings that “we are on your side, we are on the right,” the rally turned on these kids. Shouting “Cindy Go Home!” a small mob gathered around the three or four Protest Warriors, attacked their oversized signs, and began stomping on the signs.

Visibly shaken, the Protest Warriors beat a retreat from the rally to the chants of “Get Out of Here Liars!” Over and over again, “We are on your side” were meet by “Liars!” One man clarified that even if they were trying to support the war, they were confusing people, and that “it is the devil who wanted to sew confusion.”

Their inability to change their minds in light of overwhelming evidence, see reality, a tendency towards hypocrisy, and a lack of comprehension and appreciation for sarcasm are all missing.

I'd love to do some medical research on the brains of freepers - to find out how their brains are different from normal people. You could probably dissect the brains of live freepers since most aren't using them anyway.

The level of anger and ignorance of the pro-war people is troubling to say the least. I was not able to go to Crawford, but I did not see anything like that from the thousands of peace activists. The stark contrast in the conduct of the 2 groups speaks volumes.

23. The difference between us and them:

last time I went to Crawford was March 2004. The first anniversary of invasion of Iraq. We were going there to have a peaceful protest. We caravaned from cities all over Texas and some people came from Louisiana and Oklahoma.

At our "staging area" in Dallas, one guy showed up with a pro-war sign. He stood there, in the parking lot, surrounded by us, holding up his sign. I don't remember what it said but something about how horrible Saddam Hussein was, blah blah blah.

One of the liberals in our group who had a microphone suggested we should applaud the guy for having the courage to exercise his right to free speech and peaceful assembly and we clapped for him, waved at him. A few people went over and talked to him, introduced themselves, and shook his hand.

As we caravaned off, he was still standing there and we all waved as we drove off. He looked like he didn't want to wave at first, but then he did.

That's liberals for ya. We don't want ugliness and hatred. And we applauded the guy for being out there.

I watched the video in the OP. Those people were downright nasty and ugly. Yelling nasty things, screaming at each other, not even realizing the people they are screaming at is someone who is very pro-war.
