This was an especially poignant response to an article at HuffPost that I wanted to share with you all: ===============================
My beloved city is gasping its last breath tonight...keep asking the questions. Nagin is a wonderful mayor; he told Bush exactly what would happen; he told us all. I watch from Atlanta, helpless and homeless. Friends missing. One of the last true cultural cities is fading beneath the toxic water... Please scream for us. Where is America? Thousands might be dead. Read the posts at nola.com and wwltv.com. I know the neighborhoods. Thousands. Bodies are being tied down because no one can deal with them right now. Back in 65'- bodies were sucked into the lake as the water receded. No one knew their names. Nameless bodies. Again...Bodies floating. Bodies floating. Water rising. My home. My heart. My future. Scream for us. Bush knew. A cop was shot in the head today while trying to stop looting. Where is the national guard?

I'M SCREAMING FOR ALL OF YOU WHO HAVE LOST FRIENDS, FAMILY AND HOMES. This has been a horrible week for our country. We have thousands of American refugees in our country, let's all remember to help and fight for them after all the media coverage has passed.
