Accepting Foreign Help Would be a Great Way to Generate Goodwill
It sounds backwards, but when someone help someone, it influences your own attitude. You take pride in your actions, think better of yourself, and also tend to think better of the person you are helping. You work together with somone you may be working against in some other sphere (like Russia or China). It promotes empathy on both sides.

It takes humility to accept help. But if Bush seriously wants to mend some fences and promote promote peace, he would accept at least some types of foreign assistance. Wonder why that's not happening. :eyes:

4. Is there a link to the story that we have been offered aid
& are not accepting?

I've Googled all morning & can't find anything -- only editorials of disgruntled Americans claiming that the international community only takes from us & never helps us.

Do you have a link, please?
