Come out, stand up and take these people destroying the country on.
We desperately need you now more than anytime before.

4. I've always considered myself a Yellow Dog Democrat
But lately I find myself more anti-Bush and less pro the Democratic party we have.
This is the time to stand up. The Repug talking heads are defenseless at the moment and most of the American people are waiting for a Democrat to stand up and take charge.

5. But their colleagues and friends across the aisle might suffer discomfort!
And lets face it, one lunch appointment with a GOP buddy is worth a lot more than the lives of a bunch of peon looters.

Incidentally, I hope Mary Landrieu spends the rest of her life regretting voting for the bankruptcy bill - the result of which will be felt in full force among her constituents as a result of this storm. Her stress and tears are just a small down payment on the suffering her vote will cause in the months and years to come.

I bet she will still be first in line to dance with the devil, however.

7. Can't argue with you there.

The Democrats need to stop thinking about "What's in it for me?" and more "What's in it for the American people?".

See you in Canada! :hi:

6. The idea of "Democratic Leaders" is inherently undemocratic.
Edited on Wed Aug-31-05 03:52 PM by K-W
If our party is to be democratic, the leaders must be the people, not the party officials or public servants.

We need grassroots organization that gives ordinary people a voice, not rhetoric from professional party members.

Since we are so good at eating our own I've provided these safety tips:

adapted from http://www.beefitswhatsfordinner.com/aboutbeef/default.asp
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Go for the Goal - safe grilling

Follow these four easy steps to avoid cross-contamination and prevent food borne bacteria from causing illness*:

Clean: Wash hands well in hot soapy water before and after handling DEMOCRATS and other fresh foods. Wash all utensils, cutting surfaces and counters with hot soapy water after contact with raw meat.

Separate: Keep raw DEMOCRATS and DEMOCRATIC meat juices from coming into contact with other foods, both in the refrigerator and during preparation. Keep carving boards separate from other food preparation or serving boards.

Cook: Use a clean thermometer to measure the internal temperature of cooked DEMOCRATS to make sure they are thoroughly done.

Chill: Refrigerate DEMOCRATS quickly. Set your refrigerator temperature at 40°F or lower and the freezer at O°F or lower. Check these temperatures occasionally with a refrigerator/freezer thermometer. Refrigerate or freeze perishables, prepared foods and leftovers within two hours; less time if the air temperature is above 80°F.

An instant-read thermometer is the best way to tell if your DEMOCRAT is cooked to the proper temperature.

Ground DEMOCRATS should be cooked to an internal temperature of at least 160°, until the center is no longer pink and the juices show no pink color.

Whole DEMOCRATIC cuts, including steaks and roasts should be cooked to an internal temperature of at least 145° and can have pink centers.

bon appetite!

ON EDIT: adding this:

:sarcasm:

just so there is no confusion
