Today Is The 21st Century's "Black Thursday"
The defining point of the Great Depression in the United States was "Black Thursday", the day of the Market crash. Today, the day of the quantum leap in gas prices, will come to be known as the first day of the 21st Century's Great Depression.

You think this $3 gas is bad? By this time next week it will be very close to, if not over, $4.00 per gallon everywhere in this country.

You are about to see the consumer driven economy of this country come to a screeching halt.

3. This may be the only thing that will wake people up.
The repugs think he is their saviour, capable of anything. Many of his greatest fans do not have a lot of money and this is going to hurt everyone.

6. Exactly
He really is digging his own grave! But what I want to know is with all his"power", why can't he tell his oil buddies to lie low for awhile. How many billions do you really need?!!!!You can't take it with you, and he sure can't spend it in prison where he belongs!!!

4. It won't take that long
It won't take until next week for it to hit $4.00 a gallon - It will happen this weekend in most parts of the country.

5. I think oil & gasoline were already driven to high prices by speculation
The energy futures market was speculating on a disaster in Iraq or another upset like Katrina. These prices have already been factored in. Expect $3.40/gal as a peak for this year.
