:sarcasm: off.

--

Put the blame where it squarely belongs -- on a GOP controlled senate and house which has gleefully rooted the boy king on in his quest to evicerate the federal government's social programs like FEMA while funding his "terra" war for the profit of his buddies.

There are safeguards built into our system, but those safeguards don't work if greedy bastards are in all 3 branches.

I just wanted to make a point here that Bush is a lame-duck, and we'd be better off to spread the blame as it rightly should be spread. 2006 elections are coming and we have a good chance to make some significant improvements in those who represent us.

--
Best wishes to everyone affected by this hurricane.

3. YES!! Shift the blame to the Republicans at large. Bush is a
lame duck, a total failure.

No SS reform.
No IRS overhaul.
Failed war in Iraq.
Failed medicare drug benefit.
Failed No Child Left Behind.
Osama bin Laden at large.
Terrorists attacks on the increase.
Economy in the toilet.

He isn't running in 2006, the House and Senate are!!!!

Pin everything on the Republican majority. EVERYTHING!

Make the word Republican a pejorative, a foul word.

8. No I'm afraid they don't
And this includes the Dem leadership, unless anyone here has heard that Harry Reid has called a press conference to announce a call for an emergency special session?

Anyone, no?

I didn't think so.

Well now is the time for the Democratic leadership to step up to the plate, that's not saying they haven't had other opportunities, but now would be a good time to actually lead.

10. Time to call our reps. People are dying *right now*.
Maybe we can goad them into leading.

11. Stupid me, I thought programs that help society are -- social programs.

Go re-read the OP and come back when you can parse it intelligently.

I did not blame the pres for the hurricane.

I blamed lack of preparedness on the pres and the congress who cut the FEMA program.
