Chimp's latest poll numbers

Actually I am surprised they are not even lower, although this was done last week....which now seems like a lifetime ago. I'm sure his numbers are in freefall now.

Rising gas prices and ongoing bloodshed in Iraq continue to take their toll on President Bush, whose standing with the public has sunk to an all-time low, according to the latest Washington Post-ABC News poll.

The survey found Bush's job approval rating at 45 percent, down seven points since January and the lowest ever recorded for the president in Post-ABC surveys. Fifty-three percent disapproved of the job Bush is doing.

... at least somewhat. And his war, and his gas prices, and his increased poverty, and his tax cuts for the wealthiest, and so on.

5. Chimp's polling will hover at 40% favorable until he's gone

In the poll by the Pew Research Center, 42 percent of those surveyed held strict "creationist" views that "living things have existed in their present form since the beginning of time."

Approx 40% of Americans prefer to believe comforting lies no matter how much the truth batters at their door. This is Chimpy's base. He is their guy no matter what.

I could be wrong. I have a hard time swallowing that that much of the country is so deluded.
